Perplexity Personal Computer is the desktop agent half of Perplexity's product line. Distinct from Comet (the browser), Personal Computer is a macOS application that operates across the user's full set of applications.

It orchestrates work across the full set of underlying models Perplexity has access to. The user describes a project; the agent decomposes it, dispatches to specialised models, and carries the actions on the local machine. Routing the right model to the right subtask is part of the product's distinguishing logic.

The product was released to all Perplexity Pro and Max Mac users in May 2026. Unlike Comet, Personal Computer is not confined to the browser; it interacts with native applications and the file system.
